DALLAS DOES DUBAI...Don't try this at home

Our correspondent in Dubai felt compelled to comment on the Dallas Austin arrest, sentence, and pardon. If you haven't been keeping up with the Austin drama--the mega-music producer-turned-hit-film-producer (ATL) was arrested after arriving in Dubai on May 19 to see a few concerts, according to published reports. But the whole situation had other ramifications in Dubai, according to A-List contributor Scoop-E. Here's what Scoop had to say:
Dallas "Foolish" Austin, as you know, was caught in Dubai with cocaine and medical capsules containing cocaine inside them for his own personal used. After being held in prison for six weeks, and being sentenced to four years in jail--he was pardoned--and is now back in the 'ol U.S.A.! Hmm, the power of celebrity or is he just one lucky black American man!? I can tell you from being here and hearing buzz around town that a few A-listers assisted him with their "royal" connections. After appearing in court with the sass and flash of attending a high school prom, and no merits of deed done...he winked with his legion of lawyers...where others in his position would have withered like a rose that has seen better days. Funny, he entered a guilty plea and said he did not know he was breaking the law? Can someone tell me, what country can you travel to where cocaine is allowed (even liberal Holland, it is unlawful) as you enter? Welcome to the world of Dumb-Dumb and Foolish...Dallas' next collaborative effort!

But guess what?

A Saudi and a British man were also caught with cocaine last week...and they are awaiting to be sentenced for 4-15 years! Hmm, will celebrity help them?
